my anchor holds

I was sort of tinkering around on the piano the other day. (small fact about Kate: used to be super into music stuff but discovered I doth sucketh at such things)

Even though the days of true musicianship are long gone, I like to sort of sit at the piano bench and think and muse and play.

I was looking through our very Presbyterian, very conservative hymnal the other day and came across a hymn called "My Anchor Holds."

Though the tune was, uh, shall we say OUTDATED....the words were so beautiful. I decided to go and find out if someone remade it- AND SURE ENOUGH- someone named Brandon Bee redid it. And I love the new tune.

And it holds, my anchor holds,
blow your wildest then, O gale,

on my bark so small and frail by his grace I shall not fail

for my anchor holds, my anchor holds.
